The Daily Class Schedule
page shows our basic daily schedule.
page will not contain all of the school events. The school events are on the calendars of the elementary and high school sites. My calendar is for third grade events and daily activities such as Art, Music, P.E., and Library. Other events will also be on the calendar and there may be some duplicate events of the high school and elementary.
page will only be updated when students are absent. This is so those students will know what to do at home. So be sure to check the date on that page.
The Useful Links
page is where you can click on links that will take you to some interesting and some helpful web sites. One site that is listed is the PowerSchool site. You can also access this from the Home Page of both the elementary and high school web sites. I encourage you to view this regularly and keep abreast of your child's academics. I update this almost weekly. It really helps you keep up with your student's AR reading progress, math facts progress, and grades.
The Contact Me
site is where you can enter info for me to get a hold of you if you would like me to contact you. You don't need to enter your full name or the grade. The email needs to be accurate and then enter your question/concern and submit
. After I get a chance to read my emails I will respond.
The Photo Gallery
is just for fun. It is to share some of my favorite things and moments.
. Once you log into PowerSchool you can check you students AR progress by looking at two grades. There will be a grade called Monthly AR Goal
. That grade will list the student's AR goal for the month with a 100 after it all month, like this, 15/100. Don't worry, this is not counted as a grade. It just means that their goal is 15 for the month. This will also have a due date
for the last day of the month. The next grade is called AR Progress
. This grade will also show as, 3/100, or 5/100, etc. It's due date will change
each time I update it. This will show their progress toward their monthly goal. If the goal is 15/100 then hopefully
at the end of the first week of the month it will be about 4/100, then 8/100 after the 2nd week, and 12/100 after the 3rd week and then 15/100 after the 4th week of the month.
. We have spelling tests on Tuesdays and Thursdays if they have school on the day before that. We will not have a test on the Tuesday following Labor Day. The first ten tests have 15 words on each test because they are a review of words they had in 1st and 2nd grades. Starting with test #11 each test will then just have ten words and also words that they missed on the previous tests. Once they miss a word they have to get it correct on the next three tests to pass it off. So it is easiest to just study and get them correct on the first test. Here is a link for the spelling words for the year. Spelling List Download
