Principal's Note

The holidays have come and gone. The years seem to go by faster every year. We had a lot of great things happen at CES in December. I wanted to highlight a few of them.

Our Christmas play was a great success. Our Kindergarten students always start the show out with a bang and 2019 was no exception. They sang their hearts out. Mrs. Stoor and Mrs. Moody did a tremendous job putting the program together.  Our 6th graders came together and hit a home run. I have to admit that my favorite parts were the bouncy bus rides to all those cities. I want to give a big thanks to Mrs. Warner, Mr. King and Mrs. Cook for all their hard work with the play. It was a wonderful show.

On the last day of school in December we set out to do some service for others. Every student in our school helped stitch together our annual CES quilt. This year it was delivered to Mrs. Walton. We appreciate her smiling face and positive attitude that she brings to school everyday. Each student also wrote and delivered a hand-written Christmas card to someone important in his or her life. We also braved the cold and hopped on Mr. Groll’s trailer (thank you Mr. Groll) and delivered boxes of candy canes around town as we sang carols to people all throughout the town. There were lots of smiles and messages of appreciation for our students.

It was wonderful to watch every student pause and take time to serve others. I want you to know that at CES we try to value and serve each student as well. Thanks for all your support.
